One of the leading gypsy jazz musicians on the Russian scene, Dmitry Kuptsov has dedicated himself to this musical style for over 20 years. He has always sought to explore its depth and nuances with meticulous attention to detail and precision. Today, Dmitry brings his own distinctive vision of gypsy jazz to the stage. In the summer of 2017, he released his debut album, The Suncatcher, recorded at the renowned LDC studio in Paris in collaboration with his French colleagues. The album features not only original arrangements of well-known Manouche standards, but also several of Dmitry’s own compositions. Kuptsov has earned international recognition through performances in France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, and many other European countries where gypsy jazz enjoys a dedicated following. He has appeared at major festivals, including the renowned Django Reinhardt Festival in Samois-sur-Seine, France. Dmitry Kuptsov has also launched several international festivals, including Tsaritsyno. Gypsy Jazz, Gypsysphera, and Manouche.club Fest.
